Actor couple Kanchi Kaul and Shabbir Ahluwalia became parents of a baby boy on Friday midnight.
Shabbir, who had earlier told us that he would have loved a baby girl, said, “I had wanted one of both, a boy and a girl. But all that matters now is that the baby is healthy. I texted my friends a little poem soon after he was born.”
The actor, who is currently seen in telly show Kumkum Bhagya, does not plan to take up more work for now. On asking if Kanchi will also take a long break, he said, “As of now, both of us will celebrate for a long time.”
The duo got married in November 2011. Shabbir shot to fame with Ekta Kapoor’s serial Kahiin Toh Hoga and later tried his hand at Bollywood as well. While his performance in Shootout at Lokhandwala was appreciated, his second film Mission Istanbul. Currently, the talented actor is seen in Zee TV’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya. As for Kanchi, she was last seen in Meri Bhabhi. Before that, the telly starlet worked in popular daily soaps like Maayka and Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. Like her hubby, even Kanchi entered Bollywood. Her debut film Woh Tera Naam Tha released in 2002 but failed to impress the audience.
