Colors completes six years of existence and sometimes indulging in tiff from its competitors. Over the past few days, we have seen several designated people leaving the channel and calling it quits. Our reliable sources unveil that Reliance Industries Limited takes over Viacom18’s Colors channel.

As per the leading reports, many people from the Colors channel have not quit but are told to leave the channel. The major reason for this drastic change is that Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has taken over the channel. The news has been around for quite some time now but recently got the confirmation.

All the time RIL chose to denied to comment as the shows on the channel were not doing as well as they were expected to do.

Reliance Industries Limited  had recently taken over CNN-IBN and will be seen taking over other channels like IBN7, CNBC – TV18, Lokmat and all of ETV channels.

Colors had started its journey on 21st July 2008 and has come a long way. The channel has brought in many new reality shows with innovative concepts. It has come up with many unique concepts like Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi, India’s Got Talent, Comedy Nights with Kapil and many more. The tele serial on the channel were mainly based on the social issues which had created a vast awareness amongst the audiences. With the fascinating concepts the channel is riding high with its reach and popularity to the masses.

On 21 January 2010, Colors became available on Dish Network in the USA. It is called Aapka Colors  in UK and USA. Amitabh Bachchan served as brand ambassador for the UK and USA launch.
