Meenakshi to be behind bars in Diya Aur Baati Hum

In Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus, everything is going wrong in the Rathi family’s home. After Kavita (Preeti Chaudhary) now its Meenakshi (Kanika Maheshwari) because of whom, the Rathi family would be seen in tension. 

According to the ongoing tracks of the show, it was shown mother’s restlessness towards her own daughter, who is getting married at a very tender age. Meenakshi (Kanika Maheshwari), who swapped her baby girl with Daisa’s (Urmila Sharma) grandson, to impress Bhabo (Neelu Vaghela) will now break down to see her own daughter getting married and she is seeking help from Suraj (Anas Rashid) to stop the marriage.

In the upcoming tracks, Meenakshi will come forward and requests to stop the marriage and later, she will reveal the truth in front of everyone that Mishri is her daughter and she will blurt out the truth in front of all leaving everybody stunned. This will create a huge rift between Vikram (Gautam Gulati) and Meena and eventually, Vikram will take Meena to the jail.

When contacted Kanica, she said, “Vikram will get angry and Meena will be sent to the jail for her wrong deeds.” 

Meanwhile, versatile actor Ashok Lokhande aka Babasa of Diya Aur Baati Humis honored to receive a very prestigious award from the state government.

Ashok has bagged the Maharashtra State Film Award for the best actor of the year for his role in the Marathi movie Yashwant Rao Chavan. He was nominated along with eminent actors like Sachin Khedekar and Dilip Prabhawalkar. Popular couple of small screen Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar presented the award to him.

Sharing his happiness of winning the award, Ashok shares, “It’s a great feeling to receive this award for my very first Marathi movie. My Mother, wife and daughter were present yesterday at the event and they were very happy to see me receiving this award.”
