Nine-year-old Akshat Singh, who was eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa this week, says he is not disappointed.
“Why should I cry over my elimination? Accha hai tension gaya. I was working very hard, did my best and I came this far. That was the best thing for me! For me, Jhalak was a platform to not only dance, but to meet Salman Khan. How else would I have met him?”
Akshat will now settle down in Mumbai. “I am not going back to my hometown Kolkata. I will join a school here. My parents are already looking for accommodation on rent and we will settle here along with my grandmother,” he reveals. Ask him if he is happy about shifting to Mumbai and he says, “I want to become an actor. I am getting good offers to participate in dance shows. So, with studies, I can pursue that as a career. In fact, I will be happy if I get to act with Salman Khan.”
Child prodigy Akshat Singh has made a special place in the hearts of the viewers since the time he started performing on TV. From performing on India’s Got Talent to being the first Indian to be on the Ellen Degeneres show, Akshat has always proved his talent. And this week his talent was once again put to test when he was asked to do the MJ style. Akshat not only impressed the judges with his dance moves but is also the first one to win ‘golden’ shoes. The talented kid showcased MJ’s style on the song Pandey ji seeti from the film Dabangg 2.
