Amitabh Bachchan
Big B all set to feather Chhattisgarh government to promote their state at national and global level with his voice. He was caught by the immense natural resources, cultural richness and scope of tourism of the state in his initial visit itself, in November 2000 while it was divided from Madhya Pradesh.
The proposal was put forward by Amitabh Bachchan while he paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Saturday at his residence. He said that he was willing to give his voice for projecting the salient features of the state across the nation and abroad, especially the archaeological and tourist relevant areas like Sirpur. Amitabh Bachchan also showed his keen interest to visit Naya Raipur which is the new capital of Chhattisgarh which is under construction.
The team of Kaun Banega Crorepati 8, along with Amitabh Bachchan, was in Raipur to shoot for a mega episode with Chhattisgarh’s chief minister. The team was moving in a fast pace as the CM gave his consent on participating in KBC. The grand premiere of episode 8 of the series was aired on 17 August, 2014.
Four of Amitabh Bachchan’s movies, Badla, Leader,Johny Walker andJohnny Maastana is expecting their release this year. Apart from these six other movies are laying their groundworks for being released next year which includes ‘Shamitabh’ directed by R. Balki, starringAmitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan. The music of the movie is composed by the renowned musician Ilaiyaraaja.
