3 A.M: The Hour of the Dead’ is a paranormal thriller directed by Vishal Mahadkar. Vishal has debuted as director through Bollywood crime thriller film Blood Money. Vishal Mahadkar has worked as assistant director for films like Kalyug, Awarapan and Raaz2.
The film stars Rannvijay Singh, Anindita Nayar, TV actor Salil Acharya and Kavin Dave in lead roles. Anindita made her Bollywood debut opposite Vir Das in “Amit Sahni Ki List”. The film is produced by Handprint Pictures and Essel Vision Production. Film is co-produced by Rajesh Thadani and Mohan Gopinath and written by Vishal Mahadkar himself.
3 AM revolves around a TV show host Sunny (Rannvijay Singh. His girlfriend Sarah (Anindita Nayar) is found dead at the allegedly haunted Rudra Mills. In a proposal to find out the existence of ghosts in today’s world, a devastated Sunny starts a new reality show along with his friends Cyrus (Salil Acharya) and Raj (Kavin Dave) and they decide to begin their journey with the infamous Rudra Mills itself. While everything goes well till sun sets. As the clock strikes 3 AM, the three friends get terrorised, possessed and hunted by the evil entity that resides in the haunted premises. Story revolves around two children who work in a pistol factory and turn out to be sharp shooters. The movie starts with the childhood of Gyani (Jay Bhanushali) and Pali (Akhil Kapur), as they’re named, on the streets of Mungera in Kanpur, making country pistols known as ‘katta’. As they grow up, aspiring to be sharpshooters in the world of crime, an accidental meeting with Major Rathore (Suniel Shetty) alters their lives.

The story begins with Piya (Pia Bajpai), a typical “Mumbai” girl, makes her first ever day trip to Delhi and agrees to meet a possible match for marriage on her mother’s insistence. She lands in Delhi determined to reject the guy after meeting him because after all he’s from “Delhi”. However, as it turns out she loses her phone while fighting with an auto driver and meets Goli Kohli (Shiv Pandit), a witty “Delhi” boy who grudgingly agrees to help her. One thing leads to another and they end up spending the entire day together. Eventually they fell in love with each other.

The plot of the movie revolves around a rude village boy Kapil and Delhi girl Annie. Uttar Kumar, the lead actor and screenplay writer of the movie seems to have been much inspired by Hollywood sci-fi movies and planned to make the unintentionally hilarious as low on budget and still tried animation.
In the trailer, the bear literally tears off the hero by dragging him at all ends and still there is no drop of blood coming out of his body. Kapil seems to be a real ‘Superhero’! Come what may, he has to save his “Dear” Annie from the animated and growling “Bear”.
