C.I.D. has never failed to surprise its audience by showcasing cases which are full of twists and turns. This week, the C.I.D. team is all set to don a completely different avatar that will leave all their fans shocked!
Fans are used to seeing Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava)as the matured and strong officer, but in the forthcoming episode viewers will see him lose his mental balance and act like a child.
Speaking about his new character Abhijeet says, “Acting like a child was an extremely challenging thing. As cops we are used to acting tough, so this turn of event was a complete surprise. The case is very interesting and I am sure the viewers will enjoy watching it immensely.”
In addition to Abhijeet, the over 6 feet tall dashing cop, Daya will be seen dressed as a bride! Speaking about his new look, Daya elaborates, “This is the first time I have dressed in this manner. It was difficult but fun to shoot the part as the sequence is very important in the story. The viewers will surely be surprised to see me in this avatar.”
C.I.D. (Crime Investigation Department) is an Indian crime detective series created, written and directed by B. P. Singh for Sony Entertainment Television India and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. The series, which premiered on 21 January 1998. The show is the longest running television series in India, having completed sixteen years in 2014.
Series creator, B. P. Singh, started working on the concept of C.I.D. while he used to work as a cameraman at Doordarshan.
Marathi theatre veteran, Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman, had worked with B.P. Singh on many projects before joining C.I.D. Dayanand Shetty (Daya) was spotted by Sanjay Shetty, a member of the C.I.D. production team. Aditya Srivastava who portrays Abhijeet, was introduced in the show as a criminal but was later added into the C.I.D. team.
