Ragini Khanna and Jay Soni
Ragini Khanna, last seen anchoring comedy show Gangs of Husseepur, is again set to host a quiz-based show Dil Hai Chota Sa Choti Si Aasha.
The actress and her co-host Tanishaa Mukherjee were removed from the show because the makers were not satisfied with its ratings. Ragini says, “The channel has every right to improve the ratings and if they made some changes to achieve that, I accept it. It was a learning experience and I have no regrets.”
The actress, however, admits that there is a herd mentality on television shows. She says, “If a show works, everyone wants to follow a similar format. Today, audiences want entertainment and so, comedians have become anchors.” Now that Ragini is anchoring a show again, is she stressed about the ratings? “The responsibility of anchoring a quiz-based show is more, it is a scary experience. In music and dance reality shows, the contestants and anchors are equally responsible for upping the entertainment quotient, but here, everything is dependent on the host alone,” she replied.
Actor Jay Soni will co-host of Sony Pal’s Dil Hai Chota Sa Choti Si Aasha with Ragini. He has got his wife as his stylist.
Yes, his better half Pooja Soni will be his fashion designer and stylist for the show.
Shared Jay, “Pooja had designed my wedding attire and now she will design for my new show. She is very talented and very well knows what will suit me the best.”
Pooja added, “This is my first show as designer and I am really excited about it. I have done lot of bridal collection and have my own shoe brand. I am very good at styling an indo-western look. As Jay is the host he will wear more of the suits as he can’t look loud and funky.”
On asked who her favourite designer is, she said, “My favourite designer is Sabyasachi for its tradition, bridal and indo western look.”
Who would you like to style in future? “I want to style Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. They both are style icons and my favourite.”
