TV actress Sangeeta Ghosh is happy playing a homemaker these days. In Jaipur since the last two months, Sangeeta organized a birthday dinner for husband and polo player Shailendra Singh on Sunday night.
Even though Shailendra’s birthday was on September 7, the couple celebrated it for the whole weekend, starting from Friday. “This time, it was not just a one-day celebration. In fact, the celebrations started three days before the actual birthday. We had a party on Friday organized especially for Mickey’s (Shailendra’s nickname) cousins, who were all in town. Then we had a blast on Saturday night as our friends from Mumbai were here. On Sunday night we had a quiet birthday dinner, just me and Mickey at home,” said Sangeeta.
Sangeeta’s friend, actress Smita Bansal and her husband Ankush Mohla were present at one of the parties hosted in Jaipur. Shailendra told us, “I had a blast this time and celebrated my day continuously for five days. Even on Monday night we had another bash for all my friends and family.” The couple has a busy month coming up, so this was a good way for them to spend some time together before their hectic schedule begins. Shailendra said, “My polo season is about to start and Sangeeta, too, will be leaving for Mumbai. We will both get busy with our professional lives, so it was a perfect way to rejuvenate.”
Sangeeta said, “I have become a homemaker now. I have started making special Rajasthani delicacies. For the birthday dinner, I prepared laal maans for Mickey, and he relished every bit of it.” She will soon leave for Mumbai as she has a few offers for TV shows. “I’m still not sure as the talks are going on. But I’ll be back on the small screen,” she said.
