Sushant Singh Rajput, television actor turned Bollywood actor was supposed to play the lead in Shekhar Kapur’s next film, Paani but the news are coming that he is no more associated with the film.
The actor, who was preparing for the role since a long time, has apparently turned it down now from Kapur’s ambitious film.
Sushant was all set to start shooting for the film, but he has now said no to the project because of the constant delays in the film’s schedule.
The actor was annoyed with the fact that the movie is keep on delaying for some or the other thing.
According to the reports of leading newspaper, since the film has been announced, it has been plagued by something or the other resulting in the film’s delay. It was supposed to go on the floors in November but now the film’s schedule has been pushed again to next year.
Turns out that Sushant, who is currently busy shooting for his film, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, has lost out on many projects because he had blocked his dates for Paani. The film’s delay is hampering his career. Both Shekhar Kapur and Sushant Singh Rajput remained unavailable for comment.
According to the buzz, British actor Emma Watson will feature in Shekar Kapoor’s movie. It would be her first ever Bollywood film.
Not only this, Hollywood legend, John Legend may feature in the film too. During IIFA this year, John said, “I believe its an honest Bollywood film and its called Paani by Shekhar Kapoor. Even though the script does not have any song and dance routine in it, Shekhar said he’ll put a song, to make it truly Bollywood.”
