Shahid Kapoor had shaved his head for his upcoming film, Haider which is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s popular novel Hamlet.

After Shahid Kapoor, its Vivek Oberoi’s turn to sport a beard and a crew cut. The actor is anticipated to have a similar look in his film, Bank Chor.

According to the reports of a leading news portal, Vivek will begin shooting for his debut project with Yash Raj Films next month and he has started preparing for the role. Last week, he went to YRF studio for a look test and he has now chopped off his long hair. He will play a Central Board of Investigation (CBI) officer in the film and for this role, he will sport a crew cut. He will also grow a moustache and a long beard. It will be one of his looks in the film. The actor has apparently been asked to stay away from social events in a bid to keep his look as mystery. A unit member says, “The film’s production team is known for its strict rules. They have asked everyone involved with the project to not say anything about this film, including about Vivek’s role. Vivek is taking care to ensure that he doesn’t attend too many public events till he starts shooting for the film. If need arises, he will wear a bandana and step out.”

The film name is Bank Chor. Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh are playing the lead role in the movie. The film is an Indian crime adventure movie.

Meanwhile, there are reports on a website that Vivek Oberoi had to let go of a role in US series Homeland due to date issues. Vivek, last seen as Kaal in Krrish 3, was approached two months ago by the makers of the show.

The makers of the popular US TV show came to India in July to briefe Vivek about his role and the concept of the fourth season. Despite liking the role, Vivek had to reject it as the role demanded dedicated two months, which he already gave to two Bollywood projects.

Confirming the news, Vivek said, “Yes, the makers of Homeland did approach me. However, I had to turn the offer down as my dates were already locked.”

Interestingly, Homeland makers have been approaching several other Indian actors with roles. While, Ali Fazal could not act in the series due to prior commitment, Nimrat Kaur will be seen playing a Pakistani in the show.
