Ahead of the release he organised shows worldwide with the cast of ‘Happy New Year’ Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani. They performed in US and UK along with SRK in the tour.  On July 3rd he estimated an amount of Rs 200 crore to be earned from these shows before the movie release, reported a leading daily.

When it comes to the advertisement world no one can beat this man.  SRK’s high profile endorsements include talcum powder, cold drinks, cars, fairness creams and so on. Sometime ago he was bagged with 20 crore worth deal with a pan masala brand. It is claimed to be the highest of all endorsement deals signed by a Bollywood actor. His endorsements are so large that he has a brand created in his own name ‘Brand SRK’. Being a smart filmmaker Shah Rukh Khans catch over the selling satellite rights are even smarter. As well informed and knowledgeable man he is well aware of the fact that majority of the audience in India cannot afford to watch movies in multiplex. Now, he has a solution for that too without making a loss out of it, he sells his movies to the Television channels as he knows that there is no way there are going to miss it then. The movie ‘Chennai Express’ was sold to the Zee Entertainment for Rs 48 crore. The filmmakers have a deal with the channel that if the movie crosses the mark of 100 crore they can claim for more money for selling the rights. It is fascinating to know that a film’s satellite rights could be sold with such pre-condition. A source quotes that SRK’s involvements extend to the film’s marketing and branding.

It is not easy to convince SRK to tap his feet and who knows it better than the leading industrialists and politicians who buys him to perform in their family weddings in crores. It is reported that he charges close to $15000 for an appearance and around 8 crores for a weddind performance. Since other Khans are not into it, he is paid as per his demands. It is also reported that in the year 2012  he got around 250 invitations for  wedding performance or appearance which clearly shows that he can easily make a minimum of 100 crore in a year just by making an appearance in high-profile weddings.

Shah Rukh Khan has already proved to be a pro in movie promotions and marketing strategies. With the astounding success of Chennai Express in the box office showcases him to be invincible in the field. His introduction of promotional campaigns before and after release was accredited with amazing feedbacks. SRK owns it all whether doing city tours or his appearance on TV reality shows. His strategy of selling a free ticket with the purchase of two in Delhi gave a huge response to the movie. He also increased the price of the ticket by Rs 10 before the release thereby increasing the overall collection of the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan is well known for his brave investments as he values and respects the money he earns. His smart investments counts properties across the world which includes the 200 crore bungalow in Palm Jumeirah, an IPL team and a production house the ‘Red Chilli Entertainment’. Starting the trend of sharing the percentage of profit from the film, SRK doubles his price. It is reported that when Aamir Khan claimed 33% of the total profit for Yash Raj Film’s Dhoom 3, Shah Rukh Khan claimed 60% of share in the profitsof Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Shah Rukh Khan started his career in the industry with television soapsFauji and Circus is also the highest paid television actor. He has wiped out all the shows that he has made his appearance. Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 3, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? and Zor Ka Jhatka:Total Wipeout these were the three reality shows hosted by him. In 2011 he demanded Rs 2.5 crore for Zor Ka Jhatka.
