Charges against hard rock band AC/DC’s drummer Phil Ruddof that he tried to hire a hitman to murder two people were dropped Friday.
Rudd’s lawyer Paul Mabey said the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence, The New Zealand Herald reported.
Rudd, 60, appeared in court Thursday after police raided his home in New Zealand’s North Island.
He was accused of attempting to hire a person to kill two others, and of threatening to kill another. He was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.
He has been remanded on bail until Nov 27.
