Re lived college moments in Chakkilligintha Sumanth Ashwin

Sumanth AshwinActor Sumanth Ashwin says he re-lived college moments while shooting for his forthcoming Telugu romantic-drama “Chakkilligintha”, which is said to be the first film to be shot in Maheshwara Institute of Technology in Hyderabad.

“Most of the film’s portion was shot in the college for about 25 days. Ours was the first film to be shot in MIT campus in Shamshabad. The experience was so enriching as I got to relieve my college days,” Sumanth told IANS.

Initially, the makers were denied permission to shoot in the campus.

“It was after the principal read the synopsis of the film that he gave us the permission to shoot. We had planned to shoot the college sequences in other cities like Mumbai and Delhi, but my film’s producers liked this campus a lot,” he said.

Sumanth plays a basketball player in the film.

After two back-to-back hits, Sumanth exudes high confidence with “Chakkilligintha”.

“I was confident about this film even before it went on floors. Some stories really give you a high, and this film did that to me. While the story is complex, it has handled in a very simple manner,” he added.

Directed by Vema Reddy, “Chakkilligintha” will release Friday.
