MSM Pvt Ltd is coming up with a new channel Sony Pal which will soon be launched on September 1 this year. Taking into consideration that it is the sister concern channel of Sony TV, Sony Pal has planned a grand launch for the same.
The makers have planned a special launch for the channel where all the actors featuring in the shows of the channel will be seen performing acts and dancing on various numbers. Moreover, present will be Juhi Chawla who is the face of the channel and Raveena Tandon who is coming up with a chat show Simply Baatein with Raveena. Some of the actors who will be seen performing for the event are Shweta Tiwari, Gurmeet Choudhary,Debina Bonnerjee Choudhary, Amir Ali, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Bakhtiyaar Irani, Tanaaz Currim Irani,RaQesh Vashisth and Ridhi Dogra Vashisth among others.
The channel will have mostly women centric shows. The GEC will see nine interesting shows hitting the screens during the launch. Here is the list of the shows.
Firstly, Sphere Origins will bring in talented actors Hasan Zaidi and Barkha Bisht for their Muslim backdrop love story Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne.
Creative Eye Ltd and Dheeraj Kumar’s folk literary Singhasan Baatisi will see Sayantani Ghosh playing the lead.
Adaa Khan and Alan Kapoor will be seen in Rashmi Sharma Production’s Piya Basanti Re about a guy who would want to make it big as a football player and his maid’s daughter being his constant support.
Miloni Pictures’ Ashi will showcase the story of a young girl who will move from her rich family and find happiness and solace in helping the needy.
Rahul Sharma, Aanshul Trivedi, Preeti Chaudhary along with Amrita Prakash, Priyamvada Kant, Farhina Perwez will be seen in Shashi Sumeet Production Pvt Ltd’ Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi that will focus on the relationship of a guy and his sister-in-laws.
DJ’s A Creative Unit’s Sister Didi will have Pariva Praniti playing a young widow handling a hospital. Making a comeback to TV will be talented actor Bhanu Uday who has been cast opposite her.
Balaji Telefilms too will be offering a show for Sony Pal, the details for which will be updated by us soon.
Apart from these fiction offerings, there are two weekly nonfiction shows also lined up.
As reported by the media, Jay Soni-Ragini Khanna and Sakshi Tanwar will be hosting a showJay and Ragini will be seen hosting SOL’s Dil Hain Chotasa Choti Si Asha wherein the two will help women share their inspirational stories and make them win some cash prizes.
On the other hand Sakshi will take charge of the reins of a celebrity chat show Simply Baatien which will feature successful women celebrities from TV and Bollywood. The show is produced by a new production house GR8 and Sakshi will be seen bringing out some unknown facets about these female stars through the show.
