Hiten Tejwani‘s co-actors from Pavitra Rishta aren’t too happy when his wife Gauri Pradhan visits him on the set. That’s because she has lunch with him
Among other reasons, Hiten’s colleagues love him for the dabba he brings to the set everyday made by his cook. But if Gauri visits the set (she is shooting for Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi in the same studio), the couple spends their lunch breaks together. Laughs Hiten, “My colleagues love the food I get from home and if Gauri joins me, they don’t get their share. And that’s a ‘cry day’ for them!”
So, does he discuss work with Gauri during their lunch breaks? “No, we just eat. I leave immediately afterwards, as she has to prepare for her scene,” he replies.
Gauri Pradhan Tejwani has made a comeback on TV with Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi. The actress, who was a part of shows like Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kutumb, said, “The show explores my journey with my daughters. I basically decided to come back because my kids are old enough now.”
Gauri revealed that during the break, she got a lot of offers, but they didn’t work out. “Somehow, it always works out with Ekta (Kapoor). I was getting a lot of offers, but they didn’t materialize. I had a few restrictions. I work on my conditions, and I have certain conditions about money and work hours. When Ekta came up with this, I really liked the role. The production house is like my second home. It doesn’t look like I’ve been away for almost five-and-a-half years,” she said.
Commenting on her comeback, Hiten says, “I am really excited to see Gauri once again on the small screen. She has made a comeback after a long hiatus, so, I will try to watch each and every episode of her show, as and when I get time. Everyone is expecting Gauri and me to share screen space once again, but so far we have not been offered anything interesting. If something interesting comes our way, then we will definitely work together. I would love to work with Gauri again.”
