The Poonam Dhillon starrer show Ekk Nayi Pehchaan is wrapping up in the last week of September. As per the buzz, Rajan Shahi’s Itti Si Khushi will replace it.
This show is about a woman protagonist who wakes up from coma after 12 years. It has Smriti Kalra and Anuj Sachdeva playing the lead roles.
When contacted Anuj Sachdeva who plays the lead in the show to know about his show getting a time slot, he says, “Very honestly, I am not sure when and what time will the show go on air but I was told regarding that it will go on air that time around. So cannot comment on that as of now.”
Itti Si Khushi
There were speculations that Ragini Khanna was approached for the role and she was keen on playing it. However, the decision was changed last minute and Smriti has been signed on. She will help Anuj, who is a sports coach in a school, realise his dreams.
Veteran actress Vidya Sinha being roped in to play a very important role in the show. The actress who started her film career with Rajnigandha has had a good body of work on the big screen.
As per the buzz, Vidya who was last seen on TV in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai will make a comeback with Rajan Shahi’s Sony TV show. She will be seen essaying the grandmother of Smriti Kalra. Her character will be of a strong and positive lady.
Also, noted actor Paritosh Sand who has done movies like Bandit Queen, Saathiya, Monsoon Wedding and many more has been roped in to play the father of Smriti Kalra. He will play a very simple father who loves his family and daughter a lot.
Paritosh told us, “Yes, I am part of the new Sony TV show. However, I am not entitled to talk about the show as of now. You need to wait for the right time.”
